Zibanejad is fluent in Persian as his father Mehrdad is from Iran.
This jersey is a tribute to the people Iran, a nation facing challenges, economic and otherwise, and I am sure they could use a hero like Zibanejad right now.
I oppose the current regime because I believe there should be separation of church and state and that the use of nuclear technology, even for energy, is unwise in that Iran is earthquake prone and we saw what happened in Japan.
